2: Senior Oracle DBA / Oracle Database Administrator ( 11g ) Fremont CA

The Oracle DBA will be responsible for availability and support of our core database platform onOracle supporting either OLTP or OLAP applications. The successful candidate will be a practical/hands-on Oracle DBA with excellent knowledge in RDBMS, performance tuning & production support with the ability to take up database technology to latest standards.

We are looking self-starting, well motivated individuals with a willingness to take on ownership of problems and see them through to resolution. Good communication is essential, with an appreciation of timely escalation and careful framing of responses when raising issues within Detica or client technical / management teams.

Technical Skills

Essential:

  • Previous solid production experience in the Oracle 11g and SQL Server 2005 & 2008 will be a PLUS
  • Practical Oracle Database Administration experience involving all the day to day activities.
  • Experience of managing Oracle with UNIX.
  • Performance Tuning, Backup/Recovery Principals.
  • Must have experience with Core Platform changes and setting up framework changes
  • Must have excellent communication skills, and enjoy working with cutting edge new Technology
  • Must be creative and be able to come up with solutions to building out technical environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience of PL/SQL,T-SQL development.
  • Ability to identify and drive technology and process improvements.


3: .Net Developer, Arlington, VA

We are currently seeking a .Net Developer in the Arlington, VA area. This is a senior level programmer to provide dedicated support to an existing customer application. The ideal candidate should have good analytical, programming and communication skills in order to provide recommendations and an implementation plan for long-term stability of the system.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work closely with users to identify issues within the system.
  • Analyze and recommend path to resolve the issues keeping in mind long-term sustainability of the system.
  • Resolve issues, bug fixes, modify program and develop new feature enhancements.
  • Write and modify reports in SSRS
  • Transfer knowledge over to the technical team.
  • Thoroughly document the technical design of the system, installation procedures and routine maintenance requirements that will allow the support team to easily troubleshoot and assist the system in future.
  • Experience in .NET (3.5 or higher) development using C#.
  • Strong expertise in WPF and XAML programming.
  • Experience with Entity Framework, MVC design pattern and other 3rd party product such as Syncfusion.
  • Good understanding of client/server technologies and click-once deployment.
  • Good understanding of SDLC using agile methodology.
  • Experience in development of applications in multi-tiered architectures using Object Oriented Programming techniques.
  • Expert with Microsoft Visual Studio.Net, SQL Enterprise Manager, Query Analyzer, and Source Control (preferably GIT)

The successful candidate will source, recruit, interview, evaluate and place highly skilled Information Technology professionals in contract, contract to hire or direct-hire positions. We are looking for 5+ years of experience as a Technical Recruiter - recruiting IT professionals, a strong background and proven experience sourcing/recruiting IT professionals at various levels and with various technologies based on client requirements.

Essential Skills:

  • Extensive experience in recruiting using Social Media, Job Sites/Boards, Internet, and through networking.
  • Deep understanding of IT industry and technologies (Project Managers, Business Analyst's, Developers, Infrastructure Engineers, Architects, Data Analysts, etc.)
  • Ability to build strong relationships
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong interviewing and negotiation skill
  • Goal-oriented and results driven with a strong sense of urgency and initiative
  • Proficient with MS Word, Applicant Tracking Systems, and Social Media
  • Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload

  • Screen candidates to ensure their qualifications match open positions.
  • Provide resource management activities/touch points with consultants on staff.
